T
he Erawan Shrine is located at the corner of Ratchaprasong
intersection, and originally built by the Erawan Hotel, now the
Grand Hyatt. Believers make offerings at a statue of the
Hindu God, Brahma, in order to improve their fortunes, or
wish to pass their exams, etc.

To repay the god for wishes granted, the believers place
floral garlands or small wooden elephants at the god's
feet, or hire a resident troupe to dance. The Erawan Shrine
is a fascinating place to visit day and night.
