Comments (or Short
Review)
1. This camera is easy to use. The big LCD screen is
impressive
and the functional is improved with additional explanation. The last
picture shot can be easily seen with a press of a button.
2. With the large 3" LCD screen it is recommended that a plastic
film be pasted on it to protect the LCD and thus you can clean the
finger prints easier. This plastic sheet costs 250 Baht (US.$ 6.4).
3. From my actual uses of this camera in the field the fully charged
batteries can be used for about 300 shots or equivalent to 1 GB
memory stick Pro Duo.
4. Because the LCD is large and the camera size is kept about
the same or slightly bigger than H1, holding this camera on
the right hand is a little difficult especially for the big hand, and
chances are that you press the Macro dial unintentionally.
5. The camera design is very neat and it is a beautiful camera.
6. The macro shots are excellent. The minimum focusing distance
of only 2 cm gives you a worry-free about moving the camera
so close to the object.
7. The landscape shots are good but still there are some noticeable
CA / PF as discussed in many forums. The setting of aperture
opening for F 5.6 and above would improve the situations.
8. We tested the landscape A4 size print of Pattaya Park Tower
and the result is very good. The CA / PF can not be noticed
(unless you use a magnifying glass).
9. When taking pictures in "P" mode you can easily use the jog
dial to change the shutter speed as related to the aperture opening
and thus try to achieve at the sharpest picture.
