We purchased this ATEN 4-Port USB 2.0 hub and
rearranged the connections. The hub is well designed
and from our test the transfer rate through the use of
this hub is almost the same as that if we connected
the equipment directly to the USB 2.0 terminal at the
computer.

Test results are :

1. Direct Connection with the PC : Transferring 600 MB
images files (480 images) from Mobile Disk to PC (without
using the USB 2.0 Hub) took 54 seconds.Thus the transfer
rate is 11.10 MB/sec.

2. Connection via USB 2.0 Hub with another USB 2.0
Card Reader, and Super Digibin connected and Turned On.
Transferring 600 MB images files (480 images) from
Mobile Disk to PC took 58 seconds. Thus the transfer
rate is 10.34 MB/sec, which is about 7% drop in speed
but this is very fast already.
