The elevated rail links
between Suvarnabhumi Airport and Bangkok are : 1. Express Line : Suvarnabhumi Airport to Makkasan City Air Terminal, a distance of 25.7 kms (16 miles), non-stop, travelling time 15 minutes. 2. City Line : Suvarnabhumi Airport to Phayathai Station via Lad Krabang, Ban Tabchang, Hua Mak, Ramkamhaeng, Makkasan/Asoke, and Ratchaprarop stations, a total distance of 28.5 kms (17.7 miles). The travelling time will be 28 minutes. |

Information : The Airport rail link express line will operate from 05.00 a.m. to 01.00 a.m. at the running interval of every 15 minutes. The train speed would reach 103 kms/hr or 64 miles/hr. The railway is a double track system, the same as the BTS Sky Train, but electric power will be supplied to the train from the overhead lines at 25 kV. Check-In Facilities Passengers can check-in at Makkasan City Air Terminal and baggages will be loaded in the baggage car of the express line to Suvarnabhumi Airport whereby they will be loaded on the conveyor belt system and to airplanes. Commercial Running Schedule According to the latest information the project is 98 per cent complete. The Airport Rail Link will start running commercially on December 6, 2009, (Note : The schedule has been delayed!) charging Baht 150 (approx.
