Pratunam
(Water Gate) is one of Bangkok's most interesting area for shopping of
fashion, street markets, bazaars, local sidewalk vendors, etc. Pratunam
offers bargain prices for several kinds of clothing, fashion accessories,
watches, belts, bags and luggage, apparel, and many more. Around here there are hotels such as : Indra Regent Hotel, Baiyoke Sky Hotel, Amari Water Gate Hotel, Grand Diamond Plaza Suites Hotel , Novotel Bangkok Platinum Hotel, and within a walking distance across Sansaeb canal to the south large shopping plaza and complexes are located such as Central World Plaza, Geysorn Plaza, Big C, etc. It is really a good location for shopping. Just get use to the area, take easy walking, do not pay too much attention to the traffic and scattered sidewalk stalls.
