Welcome to Chachoengsao

Chachoengsao is a province located at about 85 kms
from Bangkok. The city attractions are : Wat Sothon
Wararam Woravihan, City Shrine, The Old City Wall,
the City Hall area and park, and Bang Pakong riverside
restaurants.

This temple is located in the south of the city, on the bank
of the Bang Pakong River. It was built during the Ayutthaya
Period. Towards the end of this period, the revered "Luang
Por Sothon" was enshrined there. At present, the Ubosoth
or main chapel is rebuilt in the style of Rattanakosin Period.
This temple is the largest white marble temple in the world.

How to get there :
1) By Bus. Buses leave the Northern Bus Terminal
(Kamphaengphet 2) from 04.30 a.m. until 19.00 p.m.

2) By Train. Trains leave from Bangkok Railway Station
(Hua Lamphong).
3) By Car. There are choices of  routes as follows :
    Route 1.  Bangkok via Minburi, following Highway No.304,
                  a distance of 82 kms.
    Route 2.  Bangkok via Bangkok - Chon Buri Motorway
                  then turn to Route 314, total distance is 85 kms.
