The reasons why I use this
camera :
1. It is used as a second camera besides Nikon
D200 which is used for higher quality pictures.
2. Due to the work that I am doing i.e. taking
thousands of community product pictures within
a month, and it is mostly the all day long photo
taking process, the small and light camera, yet
look like SLR and give impression to the people
around, is very practical. The work requires macro
pictures as well as normal zoom pictures and
switching back and forth, of course, can be
easily done with this kind of camera.
3. I do not require highly professional quality
pictures for posting on the internet. The H5 and
H9 picture quality is good enough for this purpose.
4. The long zoom up to 15 X is very useful and it is
used occasionaly for landscape and travel pictures.

a contribution paper from the camera owner. |

Mini Review :
1. The camera is very easy to use. There are less buttons
at the back of the camera thus access to menu and
functions can be done without confusions.
2. The lens cap can be attached to the camera without
using the adapter. It is not very tight and can drop
easily. Therefore, it is needed to tie the lens cap with
the camera strap. Before turning the camera on it is
a practice to remove the lens cap.
3. The tilting LCD is very useful in taking pictures at
low or high levels.
4. It is unfortunate that the wide Angle Lens (VCL-DH0758)
of Sony H5 can not be used with Sony H9 eventhough the
construction of the two cameras are quite similar.
5. The new battery (NP-BG1) is small in size and capacity.
It should be fully charged before the first use. It may be
necessary to use it up and recharge a few times in order
to reach its full capacity. Spare battery is recommended.
6. Picture quality is good and the Super SteadyShot
works quite alright (See Picture 2 - Focal length 78 mm).
7. Macro picture quality is very good also (See Picture 18).
8. The fully charged battery could take about 300 pictures
without using the flash.
