Located in Tambon Wiang Nua, Muang District, about 12 kms
from Lampang city. This monastery is an important statutory
place because the Emerald Buddha Image had been housed
here for 32 years. The very impressive structures are the
50-meter high pagoda, housing some hair of Lord Buddha,
decorated the top part with Jango gold sheet. At the base of
the pagoda there are niches housing the 7 daily Buddha images
where in front of the pagoda situated a Burmese style Vihara
housing Burmese style Buddha images.
