Khao Yai National Park is located at about 200 kms from Bangkok.
It is Thailand's third largest national park, covering an area of
2,165.55 sq.km., with its highest peak, Khao Rom, at the elevation
of 1,351 m. above sea level. Khao Yai ia part of Dong Rak Range,
which forms a mountaineous wall fencing the northeast plateau
from the central plain of Thailand.
