Trip to Phi Phi Islands
There are tour services for a day trip to Phi Phi Island by large boats. Start with the pick up at hotels at 7.15 - 7.30 am. then travel to Rasada Port in the east of Phuket. The boat leaves Rasada Port at 8.30 am. and arrive at Phi Phi pier at 10.00 am. For those who want to go for swimming, diving, snorkelling the tour company provides a small boat that can go to shallow water area. After about 10 minutes the main boat leaves Ton Sai Bay at Phi Phi Don island for Phi Phi Leh island. The boat trip isaround the Phi Phi Leh and we can see many beautiful beaches, especially the Maya Bay. Then the boat arrives at Phi Phi pier again. Visitors have free time to look around the interesting places on Phi Phi Don and lunch is served at a famous hotel. After lunch there are some time left to walk along the alley for shoppings or taking pictures. At 2.30 pm. the boat leaves Phi Phi pier and bound for Phuket. The one-day trip to Phi Phi Islands is worthwhile and highly recommmended. Note : The distance from Phuket's Rasada Port to Phi Phi Island is about 48 kms (29.8 miles). The tour package that we took including coffee / soft drink on the boat and a good lunch at Phi Phi hotel plus transportation from and to hotel in Phuket is 850 Baht/person.
