Doi Inthanon, the Roof of Thailand
If you have one day free for a trip it is interesting to plan
a visit to Doi Inthanon National Park area. From Chiang Mai
travel to Chomthong District and turn right to Doi Inthanon.
About 48 kms road leading to the highest spot in Thailand.

The peak is at the elevation of 2,565 m. above sea level.
At the highest spot there are view point, radar station,
Stupa, and Tourist Information office with a small museum.
Also, a small souvenir shop is located. Travelling time from
Chiang Mai is about 2 hours. The lowest temperature at
the spot can be 10 degrees Celcious in September and
much lower during November-January.

Attractions along the trip include :
Phra Mahathat (3 kms before the highest spot)
Vachirathan Falls, Mae Klang Falls.
