 Statistics :
Area : 570 square kilometers.
Size : Widest 21.3 kms, longest 48.7 kms.
Population : About 226,303 by December 1997.
Tourists : About 2.8 million in 1999 (82% Foreigners).

How to Get There :
1) By Car : Phuket is 867 kms (539 miles) from Bangkok.
The Island is connected to the main land by a road bridge.
For travelling by car please study the highway route map.
2) By Coach : Both air-conditioned and non air-conditioned
buses leave the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok daily.
3) By Air : There are several flights to and from Phuket
International Airport. The Thai's flight from Bangkok to
Phuket takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Note 1 : We made a 4-day trip to
Phuket and Phang Nga during
Dec. 2-5, 2004. Several new
