Singburi
is another province located at about 142 kms north of Bangkok, and was probably founded in the pre- historical period. During the reign of King Rama V, three small towns; Sing Buri, In Buri and Phrom Buri, located near the bank of the Chao Phaya river, were consolidated and called Sing Buri. There are many interesting temples, historical monument and local products worthwhile for your visit. How to Get There : 1) By Car. From Bangkok take Highway No.1 (Phahon Yothin Rd.) till Bang Pa-In interchange, then turn left along Highway No.32 (Asia Rd.) via Ayutthaya, Ang Thong and turn left for Highway No.309. A total distance of 135 kms. 2) By Bus. The air-conditioned and non air-conditioned buses leave the Northern Bus Terminal (Mor Chit 2) for Singburi from 05.00 a.m. until 08.00 p.m. every day. |
