Construction of Wat Benchamabophit started during the reign of King Rama V in 1900, and it was finished ten years later.The interior of the main building is magnificently decorated with cross beams of lacquer

and gold. The best time to visit this temple is in the early morning when Buddhist monks are chanting inside the chapel.

The main building is open for visitors until 5.00 p.m.
