Close - Up Pictures
Back to Canon Pro 1 Main
Page When the object is not too small the Macro and Super Macro modes can be used if the light is strong enough. For low light it is almost impossible to get good focus using Macro or Super Macro modes unless Macro Ring Lite is used. If you use built - in flash the picture will become over exposed even flash compensation is used. Now, let us try the Close - Up Lens 500D (58 mm). I used a tripod and put the ring on a chair at a distance of approximately 45 cm from the tip of the lens. With the longer distance the built - in flash can be used very effectively. Press MF (Manual Focus Button) and turn the zoom ring to get the sharpest focus, while pop-up the built-in flash, you may need to adjust the distance between camera and the subject a little bit for best result. Then press shutter release button to take the picture. Results are shown in Pictures 18 and 19. |
